The Adapter Cable Kit is specifically designed for connecting the Nord Elettronica battery charger, allowing the integration of old models with the new NE287. Thanks to its versatility, this adapter is an ideal solution for those who want to upgrade their battery charging system without having to completely replace existing equipment.
The Adapter Cable Kit includes a Molex connector wired exclusively for the "line" signal. For those who also need to connect the EBC signal, a lug terminal is required to insert into the Molex connector (not included). This signal is fundamental for the power supply, as it allows you to modify the charging curve depending on the position of the battery switch. When the battery switch is open (EBC enable), the battery charger uses the IUI0 algorithm, while in case of closure (EBC disable), it automatically switches to the IUoU algorithm. It is important to note that any generators connected directly to the users disable the operation of the EBC.
The Adapter Cable Kit not only simplifies connection, but also improves battery life thanks to the IUI0 algorithm. This system, unlike the IUoU-Pb Flooded algorithm, features an additional step that completes the charge and, if used regularly, prevents partial sulfation of the battery, prolonging its useful life. It is essential to apply this algorithm with the battery completely disconnected from the users, since during this step the battery could reach high voltages that are unsafe for the users.
