NEW CBE CB520-3 BATTERY CHARGER MODEL FOR RECREATIONAL VEHICLES
The CBE CB520-3 series switching battery charger “CB500-3” è is capable of charging, on board the motorhome, lead-acid batteries (lead-acid, lead-gel, AGM) automatically and using innovative charging phases.
The battery charger is protected against overheating, and the 12V outputs are protected against short circuits and reverse polarity.
SIX-CYCLE CHARGING SYSTEM FOR 12V BATTERIES
Desulphator: when the battery charger is switched on, only if the battery requires it, it is charged at a voltage of 15.2V until the current exceeds 2A or, in any case, for a maximum of 2 hours.
Bulk: charging the battery at maximum current until the end-of-charge voltage is reached. Note: the end-of-charge is only reached if the battery is in good condition.
Absorption: complete charging of the battery, with a constant end-of-charge voltage maintained for the duration specified by the charging curve, with a gradual reduction in current.
Float: constant-voltage maintenance charging for a maximum of 15 hours. If the battery draws a high current, the Bulk phase will restart.
Standby: the charger no longer supplies power and switches to the Refresh phase only when the battery voltage drops below 13V.
Refresh: the battery is charged at the bulk charging voltage, for a maximum of 1 hour; this phase is intended to compensate for the battery’s self-discharge during any prolonged periods of inactivity of the motorhome.
The charging process then resumes the float phase. The high-frequency switching technology enables high efficiency to be achieved with reduced weight and size.
