T-Karico Filter

The T-Karico Filter is designed to remove both sediments and limescale from water, ensuring a clean and safe water supply. Excellent and effective for washing motorhomes, cars, and boats, it allows drying without leaving limescale marks.

Clean water, without sand or limescale!

Installed about one meter from the end of the filling hose, its 5-micron filtration prevents sand, algae, rust, slime, biofilm, and small insects from entering the tank and contaminating the water. The filter’s action is mechanical and does not remove existing limescale.

How the T-Karico Filter Works

The T-Karico uses two types of filtration: one for sediments and one with cationic resins. The first filter removes dirt during water loading, like the Compact Filter, while the resins trap calcium and magnesium (limescale), removing them from the water.

The filtered water is not drinkable due to the lack of minerals and potential bacterial growth. Therefore, it is recommended to perform an antibacterial treatment with BIOCHLOR after each use, both on the filter and the tank water.

Alternatively, if you prefer not to use chlorine, you can install an antibacterial/legionella filter (Acquatravel SMALL FILTER) right after the water pump.

Regular Maintenance

The filter should be regenerated every 2 fillings (about 200 liters), following the instructions on the label, the leaflet included in the package, or the video tutorial available at the bottom of the page.

Regeneration Procedure

Use coarse kitchen salt (about 130–140 g).
Remove the filter cap and fill it to the top with salt.
Replace the cap and let the water flow slowly through the filter.
Let about 25–30 liters of water run until the salt is completely dissolved.
Check the outgoing water: if it’s no longer salty, the filter is ready for use.

The resin lifespan is approximately 10 years, ensuring long-lasting and efficient performance.
