Charging process for 12V
batteries:
• Desulphation: when the
charger is switched on, only if necessary, the battery is charged
at a voltage of 15.2V until the current exceeds 2A or in any case
for a maximum of 2 hours.
• Bulk: battery charges with maximum current
until the end-of-charge voltage is reached.
• NNote: the end-of-charge voltage is reached
only if the battery is efficient.
• Absorption: completion of the battery charge
with constant end-of-charge voltage for the time defined by the
charging line with progressive reduction of the current.
• Float: maintenance charge at constant voltage
for a maximum of 15 hours. High absorption from the battery causes
the restart from the Bulk phase.
• Stand-by: the battery charger no longer
supplies energy and switches to the Refresh phase only when the
battery voltage drops below 13V.
• Refresh: The battery is charged at the Bulk
charging voltage for a maximum of 1 hour; this phase is designed to
compensate for the battery's self-discharge. Then charging restarts
from the Float phase.
