TRIO-GAS MULTICONTROL was designed and manufactured with a probe external to the control unit to facilitate its positioning at any point of the camper at the user's discretion. Each control unit is designed for connection from 1 to 3 probes using pre-wired cables supplied.

TRIO-GAS is an electronic device designed for use in 12 V recreational vehicles.

It is suitable for reveal the presence of:

- LPG
- CARBON OXIDE
- SLEEPING GASES (ether and derivatives)

in anomalous concentration below the danger threshold (LIE) signaling with a visual (LED) and acoustic (BUZZER) alarm .

It has 3 LEDs, a test button and an acoustic signal:

GREEN LED: on, it is activated using the sliding lever on the side of the device
RED LED: GAS presence alarm, it activates at the same time as the buzzer
YELLOW LED: circuit failure / anomaly
TEST BUTTON: tests the functionality of the signaling circuit

The heart of the system consists of a Motorola microprocessor and a sensor.

The basic characteristics of the sensor are low power consumption, high sensitivity and speed of response. The installed microprocessor allows a self-diagnosis function of the device and of the sensor; it also allows accurate processing coming from the sensor itself.

The TRIO-GAS is equipped with an open-collector type output which is activated together with the red LED and the acoustic signal, to which it is possible to connect a manually reset gas valve or activate other electrical appliances (ventilators, sirens) or connect to any type of burglar alarm.

The current capacity is 500 mA and is more than sufficient if necessary to pilot an external relay, through which to connect any other load. The output command can be configured as static or impulsive, via a jumper located inside the board.

OPERATIONAL MODE
When the device is switched on, the microprocessor first of all carries out a self-diagnosis phase to verify the correct functioning of the sensor, then it will make the yellow and red LEDs flash for about 1 minute, time necessary to calibrate the sensor. Once the flashing phase is over, the TRIO-GAS is fully functional.

POSITIONING IN THE ROOM:
The position determines the greater or lesser sensitivity towards the gases:

GASES LIGHTER THAN AIR, which therefore go upwards:
- CARBON OXIDE AND MONOXIDE (actually these gases go towards also due to the heat produced by their source)
- ETHERS

GASES HEAVIER THAN AIR, which therefore go downwards:< br /> - LPG

Therefore, if you prefer to be warned of a LPG GAS leak, it is advisable to position the sensor no further than 30/40 cm from the floor.
If, on the other hand, you prefer to be warned of a carbon oxide saturation, the sensor must be positioned between 1.30 m. and 1.50 meters from the floor.
