Dometic porthole for roof hole 40 x 40 for campers and caravans

This small porthole fits perfectly into standard 40 x 40 cm openings for maximum brightness.
The opening angle depends on the positioning of the bar.

Complete with internal frame with mosquito net and blackout.

HOW TO FIT OR REPLACE A PORTHOLE?
As with many other spare parts, these jobs should be carried out by professional workers in order to avoid the risk of water infiltration but, if you want to try your hand at it yourself, here are some simple general guidelines:

MATERIALS REQUIRED:
"TEROSTAT" butyl tape sealant with a minimum width of 25 mm. to be used to adhere and seal the roof window.
SIKAFLEX 521UV type polyurethane sealant for sealing the edge and screws.
Screws suitable for the roof material, not normally supplied in Fiamma or Dometic products:
Fiberglass roof, steel screws,
Aluminum roof, galvanized screws

Remove the old porthole, being careful not to damage the part of the roof where the porthole will be glued again.
Clean the surface carefully, removing any residue or depression.
Do not use solvents or detergents except denatured alcohol then dried completely.

- Apply the terostat tape on the roof along the perimeter of the hole (first check by placing the porthole that the tape will adhere to the external edge of the porthole) leaving no open space and avoiding overlapping of the tape, because it could let water in;
- Gently place the door down, centering it;
- Tighten the screws taking care to cross-tighten them so that the edge fits evenly onto the roof;
- Remove any excess Terostat on the edge with a plastic spatula (the cutter could cause damage if you are inexperienced)
- Apply Sikaflex on the edge between the roof and the skylight and on the screws, covering them completely.
- Leave to dry for 24 hours.
